FAQS

What type of lashes do you use?
We order directly from a manufacturer that private labels for many lash companies in the states and can provide manufacturer safety data sheets upon request. We use a synthetic mink/silk lash extension. Which is lightweight and gives the optimal curl. We stock an extremely wide variety of lash lengths, thicknesses, curls and colors. This ensures that we can give you the look that’s just right for you.

What kind of adhesive do you use?
We use a medical grade adhesive that comes straight from a local manufacturer.

How long will they last?
The majority of our clients return every 3-4 weeks. This can vary on how fast an individual’s lashes grow as well as how a person takes care of them. Please note that after 6 weeks, a full set is required as any extensions still on will need to be removed due to lash growth.

Do lash extensions damage your natural lashes?
When applied skillfully with precise bonding and placement, extensions will not pull out your own lashes prematurely. Each lash grows at its own unique rate, and extensions should grow out and shed with each lash as it would if no extension were on it. When careful isolation is not practiced, groups of lashes will get stuck together and fall out in clumps resulting in lash loss.

How many lashes do you put on?
We do not count lashes. We strive to get an extension on each and every one of your own lashes. Because we stock a wide variety of lashes, we can customize the fullness to your liking. Some guests do not have naturally full lashes to begin with while other guests do not want super full lashes. Whatever your preference, our goal is to make them look authentic and like they are naturally yours.

What should I do before my appointment?
Please come in with clean, makeup free eyes. If you do not have time to remove your makeup, we can do so for you. Please do not curl your lashes before coming in as this can make it harder to get a flush bond.

How long will it take?
We all have many years of experience applying lash extensions. You can expect your first appointment, to take anywhere from 1.5-2 hours for a full set. After that fills can vary from an hour to an hour and a half.

Can I wear contacts and makeup with extensions?
YES! We believe that lash extensions should make your life easier, not complicated with restrictions. The only products we ask you to avoid are waterproof mascara and eyeliner, as they are extremely hard to remove and builds up around the extensions.

Do I have to avoid water?
Absolutely not! You won’t have to worry about mascara running any longer. Go swimming, get a facial, or relax in a sauna. Our lash extensions hold up well with water and humidity. Excessive enjoyment of these activities cause more “wear and tear” on lash extensions but do not need to be avoided.

AFTER CARE

  • Avoid waterproof mascara because removing it from your lashes causes a hard wearing action that can contribute to pulling them out prematurely. If all waterproof mascara is not removed it can act like a glue to bind extensions together, increasing the chances of having them pull out. Regular mascara is okay but it can cause more wear and tear for the same reasons.
  • Use a gel makeup remover or specialty remover if you wear liquid, creamy, or pencil eyeliners. They can tend to build up along the base of the lashes if not entirely removed and cause the extensions to stick together.
  • Do not curl your lashes with a lash curler as it will permanently put a kink in the extensions and can cause them to pull out prematurely.
  • Do not attempt to remove your extensions on your own or with any product. They must be professionally removed or allowed to fall out on their own. If you attempt to remove them you could experience temporary lash loss.

ALLERGY

  • An allergy to the adhesive sometimes develops, often not before a minimum of 3 months’ prior exposure.
  • If you develop an allergy, you will most likely experience swelling of the eyelid the day after your third lash application.
  • If you experience an allergic reaction you are advised to contact an ophthalmologist for a prescription for a topical steroid that can be used (in the future as well) to prevent the lid swelling. If you choose to see a physician you assume financial responsibility of the visit.
  • The use of Visine drops are not recommended after a treatment as the can irritate the eyes. If desired, we recommend the use of artificial tears.
